WebApr 5, 2024 · April 11, 2024 at 10:28 am I have a 45’ Silverton with twin 6CTA 8.3 engines. The starboard engine, (46181874) is surging at about 1100 rpm’s. It seems to accelerate slightly for a moment then fall back to desired rpm. If I bump up the rpm’s to 1400 the surging stops. The engine runs great otherwise, never stalls and always starts right up. WebAug 17, 2024 · Over the weekend I developed an exhaust leak in between the wet exhaust elbow and the turbo (no spacer, the elbow is mounted directly to the turbo) . 2 of of the 4 bolts have corroded away and now exhaust is leaking between the void of the missing bolts. More than likely, the remaining 2 corroded bolts will need to be cut to remove the elbow.
